Production notes

The title is taken from a review: ‘A case in point is furnished by "Dead Trees." Here the bare and slender tree trunks in the foreground are vivid against the broad sweep of pale yellow grass running off into the blue distances; the picture is a blending of blue and yellow tones with striking and yet harmonious effect’.
