Abstract

Established in July 1974, the non-profit group was sponsored by the Western Australian State Government, through the Department for the Arts. The group had a strong volunteer commitment to the promotion of fine art printmaking in WA, and conducted workshops and maintained contact with local and interstate printmaking groups. Practising printmakers volunteered their services to gallery site exhibitions etc., and grew from a strongly based group to a recognised arts body providing a service to artists and arts-Interested people in WA.
