Abstract

The Gippsland Print Award was the initiative of Simon Gregg, Director of the Gippsland Art Gallery. The Gallery had a substantial collection of prints and many of the regions its local artists were printmakers. Established in 2015 as a biennial national prize for printmaking, it was awarded in 2015 (Martin King) and 2017 (Jock Clutterbuck). Due to the relocation of the Gallery, the award was not held in 2019 or 2021. The Award was resumed in 2023.
