ALMANACS FOR 1865. - Another batch of these useful publications has just been issued, viz., two sheet and one book almanac. First in order comes "Reading and Wellbacks Commercial Almanac" which maintains its character for carefully compiled information, serviceable alike to oil classes of our mercantile and trading community. It is tastefully got up, and printed on fine cardboard in coloured inks, and is no less useful than ornamental. - The illustrated "Almanac of De Gruchy and Leigh," 323, George street, is, as a work of art, an exceedingly creditable production. Indeed, whether as regards the design or the execution, this is a very beautiful specimen of cromo-lithography, and would do credit to any London house. It is printed on enameled card, and the illustrations are eight in number. Besides the calendar, there are Chronological notes for 1865 and some other useful tables. - "Cooke's Commercial Almanac," 64 pp. 8vo., is not only a serviceable book but contains a large amount of readable matter not usually found in publications of this nature. The “Saxby days” are noted in the calendar. It also contains a postal guide, gardening chronicle and a variety of other valuable information. W. A. Cooke, George-street, is the publisher.
