AT
MOUNT ALEXANDER & BALLARAT,
WHICH WILL PUBLISHED
Immediately the required number of Subscribers are obtained.
__________
PLATE I.
View of Golden Point and the Ballarat Creek, taken during the excitement occasioned by the working of the first gold field in Victoria.
PLATE II.
Golden Point, Mount Alexander. The view of this very productive spot is taken from the North side of the Creek, and forms, with its varied scenery, a most attractive picture.
PLATE III.
The Chief Commissioner's Tent, and Officers Quarters, at Mount Alexander.
PLATE IV.
Forest Creek, between Golden Point and the Middle Diggings. This highly picturesque view conveys a correct idea of the various operations connected with excavating and washing the soil for gold.
PLATE V.
The Great Minors' Meeting, hold in December, 1851, to protest against the License Fee being doubled by the Colonial Government.
These plates are engraved from drawings taken on the spot by Mr. D. Tulloch, expressly for this publication, and will be neatly bound with an illustrated title-page, showing Diggers Sinking their Holes, Washing and Cradling the excavated Earth at the Creak, and Diggers on the road crossing the Keilor plains. Accompanied by a letter-press description of the various localities; and are handsomely got up for the purpose of forming an acceptable present to friends in the mother-country and adjacent colonies.
Price to Subscribers, 21s.
Subscribers' Names entered at the Office of the Publisher, where the original drawings are for inspection.
THOMAS HAM,
Publisher.
