PAINTING, HOUSE DECORATING, &c.
RICHARD CLARK respectfully announces to the citizens of Melbourne, and inhabitants of Victoria generally, that he has succeeded to the Painting and Paper-hanging Business formerly carried on by Mr. Guthridge, in Collins street.
The Advertiser having for many years past conducted a most respectable business in the same line in Dublin, is confident of being able to afford the utmost satisfaction to those who may favor him with their patronage, and it will be his constant care not to allow a trade so long (established 1842) and so successfully carried on by his predecessor, to deteriorate in his hands.
The business has been removed from No. 59 to No. 84, Collins-street, east, opposite the Mechanic's Institute, where a large and well selected stock has been laid in, among which will be found some superb decorations, in paper hangings, suitable for the best rooms; also a limited quantity of largo plate glass for shop fronts.
“I have known Mr. Clark for more than twenty years, and can with the utmost confidence recommend him to my friends and former customers, both as a man and an artist.
N. GUTHRIDGE."
