BUSINESS NEWS
By arrangement with the Macquarie Galleries, Sydney, Verity Hewitt will hold an exhibition of pictures every three months. At times the exhibition will display the works of a single Australian painter, and at others an assortment of Australian water colours, oils, overseas colour prints, wood cuts or etchings from the Redfern Galleries, London, whose Australian agents are the Macquarie Galleries.
The exhibitions will run for a fortnight and will give Canberra residents an opportunity of seeing and buying good examples of current Australian and overseas art.
The first exhibition will be held at the end of November, and will consist mainly of modern English and European coloured wood cuts and lino cuts, besides examples of the work of the Australian artist, Ethleen Palmer.
