ROYAL BIRTH-DAY ODES,
Publishing by Subscription,
UNDER THE PATRONAGE OF HIS EXCELLENCY
SIR THOMAS BRISBANE, K. C. B. &c. &c. &c.
THE Difficulty which the Artist, who undertook to engrave the Portrait for this Work, has met with in obtaining the Ingredients and Composition essential for his Purpose, will necessarily protract the Publication beyond the Period originally calculated and fixed on for its Appearance, with a View to its being executed in a Style worthy the public Patronage. - The Plate is, however, now in a state of forwardness, and the Work will be ready for Delivery by the middle of May; in the mean time, the Author respectfully requests, that those Ladies and Gentlemen who have received Circulars with the Prospectus enclosed, and have not yet sent in their Names, will be pleased to signify their Intentions to the Printer as early as possible, in order to ascertain the Number of impressions that will be required; and those who, from their remote Residences in the Interior have not received Circulars, and are inclined to encourage the Undertaking, will be good enough to forward their Names, in like-manner, to the Printer, in the course of the ensuing Month of April.
