THE GREAT MATCH AT MELBOURNE - VENO and ALICE HAWTHORN! - ILLUSTRATED SUPPLEMENT to THE ERA - on SATURDAY next, the 10th instant, will be presented gratuitously, with each copy of THE ERA: -
A PICTORIAL SUPPLEMENT containing a likeness of Veno and Alice Hawthorn, their owners, trainers, and jockeys, taken from life.
A View of the Melbourne Racecourse at the termination of the great match, and other most interesting incedents of this great national struggle.
The highest artistic talent in the colony has been retained to render the illustrations worthy of the occasion, the wood engraving having been undertaken by Mr. W.G. Mason.
THE ERA Illustrated Supplement will contain at least three large wood engravings, one of which, THE FINISH between Veno and Alice Hawthorn, will be the whole width of the page.
Country Agents and others are particualary requested to forward their orders to the Office, No.41, York-street, Sydney, as early as possible.
