LECTURE ON LITHOGRAPHY. - An interesting lecture on the Art of Lithography was delivered last evening, at the Brisbane-street school-room, by Mr. Major L. Hood. There was a numerous attendance, and much attention was given to the Lecturer, who traced the progress of the art, and referred to the improvements effected in it. Mr. Hood had a small press upon the platform, and Mr. Alvaraz [sic], his chief printer, produced some copies of a tree, in chalk lithography, which was drawn on stone by Mr. Hawthorn, in the room. The lecture was an instructive one, and was received with much applause, a vote of thanks to the Lecturer being given at the close.
