Gazette Office, Sydney, Dec. 2, 1826
NOTICE – Whereas I have been given to understand that some Treaty has been set on Foot for the Bargain and Sale of the PRINTING MATERIALS that constitute the Gazette Office of Hobart Town, Van Diemen’s Land; This is to Caution all Persons, in either of these Colonies, and especially in Van Diemen’s Land, against purchasing, or in any Way bargaining for any of the said PRINTING MATERIALS, without my written Consent; and I also forbid any and every Person from mortgaging the said Materials, the same being my exclusive and sole Property.
