Rodius in Melbourne – Mr. Rodius, the artist, has favoured us with a sight of a few faces as ‘familiar in our months as household words’, about which there could be no possible mistake. We have now before us a lithograph of Mr. Geo. Robt. Nichols. M.L.C., drawn to the life as we well remember the honourable gentlemen ten years ago, when editing the Sydney Australian newspaper. Another excellent likeness of the character better known in Melbourne- “Liardet,” – is admirable: the drawing perfect.
Mr. Rodius’ forte is in French crayons, but he is equally happy with his pencil, and as his terms are moderate, we hope he will receive a fair share of public support, to which his talent eminently entitles him – Melbourne Morning Herald.
