We have been shown several specimens of drawings of Australian trees, which are preparing for publication by Dr Lhotsky. They reflect the greatest credit on the artist; but the national character of the objects represented is so well preserved that it is quite evident the designs are the suggestions of a person well acquainted with the appearance of Australian nature. There can be no doubt that a series of drawings from remarkable scenery, trees, plants &c, in this colony, would sell well in England; and we, therefore, recommend Dr. L. to follow up his plan, remembering to append the popular as well as the botanical designation to the drawing of each tree and plant.
