SYDNEY ILLUSTRATED!
(Dedicated to his Excellency Sir George Gipps.)
On Thursday next, the 28th instant, will be published,
The First Series of Views Illustrative of Sydney
By J. S. PROUT. Member of the New Society of Painters in Water Colours, London; with descriptive Letter press, by J. Rae A.M. The First Part contains four Views:
I. SYDNEY COVE – taken from Messrs. Dunlop & Company’s Wharf.
II. WOOLLOOMOOLOO BAY – Taken from Sydney College.
III. Miller’s Point – taken from the Flagstaff.
IV. Port Jackson – taken from Dawe’s battery. The work will consist of FOUR PARTS each of which will contain FOUR VIEWS, with descriptive Letter-press to each view. The price of each part is 10s. 6d. A list of the Subscribers’ names will be published with the work; and it is requested that those who wish to become Subscribers, will come forward with their names as early as possible, as the work will be sent to England after the Sydney Subscribers are supplied. Subscribers’ Names will be received at Mr. Prout’s residence, O’Connell-Street; and at the Booksellers.
