We have to acknowledge the receipt of a copy of series No. 1 of four lithographic coloured views of places about Sydney, commencing with a view of the Lighthouse, and comprehending the Roman Catholic Chapel, Toll Bar, and Benevolent Asylum, and Old Windmill near the Government Domain – which, as opening a door for the introduction of though but a minor order of the fine arts in this splenetic, tittle tattle, scandal mongering place, richly merit encouragement for their deserving artist.
