Colonial Art Union. - A collection of drawings, principally by members of the London Water Colour Society, are now on inspection at Mr. Mr. V. Hood’s Picture Gallery, Liverpool-street. They are the property of Mr. Prout, who, being about to return to England, intends to dispose of them in a similar manner to that adopted by the Art Union Societies at home. We may mention that the names of Corbould, Bland, Tucker, J.S. Prout, Gastineau, Evans, Muller, West, Bright, Tripp, Warren, and Jackson are among the artists whose works are exhibited. The subjects comprise many representations of local and colonial scenery, with views in the various counties in the United Kingdom. There are about fifty drawings, and are well worthy the attention of those who feel pleasure in the study and patronage of the arts.
