The United Extended Band of Hope Mining Company, of Ballarat West, has long since achieved remarkable fame as one of the most important gold mines in the country. To familiarise the general public with the nature of the workings, a handsome lithographed view of the mine, both above and below the surface, has just been published by Mr. H. Deutsch, of Ballarat, whoso productions we have more than once had occasion to notice favourably in the columns of The Argus. The work reflects credit on the provincial press.
