Arts and Crafts of New Australians
SYDNEY, Monday.
Among. etchings and paintings in the Jubilee exhibition; of arts' and crafts are representations of the sufferings experienced by New Australians during the war.
The Minister for External' Affairs Mr. Spender) said; this to-day when he opened an exhibition of arts and crafts by New Australians at David Jones" art gallery, before nearly 1,000 people.
Mr. Spender said: "We welcome New Australians and the culture and learning they can bring to us."
The craft work at the exhibition was the best to be seen in Australia, said the. president of the Royal Art Society (Mr. Eric Langker).
