Lecture and Tea Party.
[Merrett gave three lectures on New Zealand in Maitland. At the end of the third lecture]… Four of Mr. Merrett's lithographic portraits of Heki, his wife, and Kawiti, were then sold by Mr. Ledsam, by auction, in the school-room, and a most amusing scene occurred; they were sold at six shillings each. The meeting, shortly after ten o'clock, broke up.
