"THE SPORTING MAGAZINE." - The second number of this periodical has just reached us, and quite equals the promise of the first. As illustrations it has a capital lithograph of "Cassandra:" a rather dreary sketch of Facing Island, Port Curtis; and a spirited portrait (full length) of General Cavaignac! the first Presi dent of the French Republic! The literary matter is again varied, and exceedingly well written, the most valuable paper being the continuation of the list of “The Blood Horses of the Colony.”
