ILLUSTRATED LETTER, PAPER.-Our attention has been drawn to some Illustrated letter paper, printed by Mr. J. A. Engel, of this city. The illustration-forming one of a series - has been drawn and engraved by Mr. S. L. Peyton. “Government House," from the Outer Domain, is the subject of the present sketch, A more correct representation of Government House and the grounds on the east side of it could not be designed. In addition to this, the execution of the engraving bespeaks, on the part of Mr. Peyton, a considerable amount of artistic skill. To persona writing to England by the mail, or corresponding with friends in the interior, this illustrated letter paper affords a cheap means of transmitting sketches of our principal public buildings. The general outlines of Government House have been committed to paper with an accuracy which could scarcely be surpassed by a photographic sketch. [Empire, 28 August 1861, p.4, col.4.]
