Robert Menkhorst
Born in Windsor, Victoria, in 1916, Robert Miller studied commercial art at the Melbourne Technical College under Napier Waller and John Rowell. He produced a number of linocuts in the early 1940s under the name Menkhorst (his mother’s maiden name). These included program covers for the New Theatre and linocuts for A Comment between 1942 and 1944. He worked for many years as a graphic designer, and is known chiefly for his traditional watercolours.
