Hertha Kluge-Pott

 

Hertha Kluge-Pott was born in Berlin, Germany, in 1938. In 1954-55 she studied at the Werkkunstschule, Braunschweig, and from 1955 to 1958 she studied painting and printmaking at the Hochschule Fur Bildende Kunste, Berlin. In 1958 Kluge-Pott moved to Melbourne, continuing her studies at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology from 1959 to 1963. She was a founding member of the Studio One Printmakers in 1963. In 1968 she established the Printmaking Department at Melbourne State College and since 1982 has been Senior Lecturer in Printmaking at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
