Abstract
"Surveyor and naturalist R.D. Fitzgerald came [to Hunter's Hill, NSW] in 1871 and lived in Ferry Street at Adraville (since demolished). His monumental Australian Orchids was published in parts from 1875-1894 and was reprinted [in facsimile] in 1979. Some of the lithographs were done by the author but most were by Arthur J. Stopps, who also lived here and is the hero of "One Such Morning", a poem by Fitzgerald's grandson, also R.D. Fitzgerald" p.115
