The Swamp. [Henri van Raalte].

Pool with logs in foreground, gigantic spreading trees in distance. A noble etching. Mr van Raalte says of it:-“A difficult subject, ‘creepy’, not easy to execute. I had to do it. Don't know if you have such trees and swamp in your land. They swarm here (Western Australia), and make one feel just like ‘The Swamp’ – ‘putrescene giving rise to petrified anguish’.”
