A review of Surface Tension an exhibition of Australian prints recently held in New York has appeared in Asian Art News (May/June 2004). In her introduction the author Carmel Wallace notes “The world of contemporary Australian printmaking is alive and well across the land. To understand the extraordinary complexity of their nation Australian print artists have adopted a great diversity of voices and imagery. A concern for the environment and a search for a personal cultural identity are at the heart of many artists work”.
