ANGAS' VIEW OF SYDNEY. - Messrs. Woolcott and Clarke have just published an excellent coloured lithograph, from a drawing by Mr. G. F. Angas of the city and harbour of Sydney. This beautiful picture of a beautiful place has been executed with the greatest care. Mr. Angas has chosen perhaps the most picturesque aspect of this city for illustration, and herein has given another proof of that artistic excellence which has characterised all his former productions; and i transferring the drawing to stone, the character and delicacy of the original have been well preserved. The view is taken from near Mr. Wentworth's seat, Vaucluse, and comprehends the greater part of the harbour and the surrounding country; the horizon being bounded by the Blue Mountains. In the foreground, the artist has introduced several of the indigenous plants and flowers of Australia, and a group of aboriginal natives, in half European, half savage costume, as they are to be seen daily in and about Sydney, very suitably completes the picture. As a faithful representation of the Australian metropolis this print will be greatly prized both at home and in the colony.
