Anne Gela

Anne Gela was born on Moa (Banks Island), Torres Strait in 1953. A founding member of the SAIMA Torres Strait Islanders' Corporation in Rockhampton, she is presently working as an Arts Coordinator for the corporation. She was the first Torres Strait Islander artist to receive an Individual Arts Grant from Arts Queensland.
