Martin King

Martin King was born in Melbourne in 1957. He completed a Graduate Diploma of Fine Art and Design, Caulfield Institute of Technology in 1978; a Postgraduate Diploma in Fine Art in 1982, at Sydney College of the Arts and a Master of Fine Arts from Monash University in 1999. He has lectured in lithography and etching at the Warrnambool Institute of Advanced Education in 1985; in graphic investigation at the Canberra School of Art, 1986-87; and in printmaking at the Victorian College of the Arts, 1993-94. King has been senior printer with the Australian Print Workshop since 1989, during which time he has worked with many of Australia’s most important artists He has also undertaken a number of printmaking projects with aboriginal artists in remote communities of Australia.
