Abstract

'This catalogue is the only thing of its kind in Australia. It is illustrated throughout with small reproductions of every plate etched by Sydney Long, with the exception of those few from which no more than two or three prints have been obtained. They explain the the composition and subject of the work to the collector, and do away with any possible confusion as to size, shape, subjext matteror process. The 25 large plates represent Mr Long's etchings in a variety of medium and subject, line etching, aquatint and drypoint etched in London, Flanders, the English Provinces and Australia'.
