Abstract
Calvert engraved woodblocks for Victorian stamps (6d orange, 2s. 1s 'Registed' and and 6d 'Too Late') in 1854, and engraved the dies and prepared electrotypes for the Emblems issues from 1857 to 1858.” He was dismissed and prosecuted for pawning some stamp woodblocks.
