We have received from Mr. Platts, bookseller, a portrait of the Rev. D. J. Draper, whose heroism and death, on board the ship London, has been the theme of universal conversation. It is printed and published by Messrs. J. W. Pearson & Co., of 67, Collins-street east, Melbourne. The picture is a splendidly executed lithograph—the likeness being most faithful and striking. It has a neat surrounding, and above it are the memorable words used by the rev. gentleman on the sinking ship, " Oh "God ! may those who are not converted be converted now—hundreds of them." Beneath the picture is the autograph writing of Mr. Draper, with brief inscription, "In memoriam." We can recommend the picture as a very fine likeness of the rev. gentleman.[Adelaide Express, 7 April 1866, page 2]
