'... The claim arose out of the late Mayor's Fancy Bull, of which and the several leading characters, Mr. Barlow at a great expense and labor, prepared a highly finished lithographic engraving. The defendant was charged with having pirated the engraving, and, in substance, that by spurious copies thereof, the defendant alike injured the trade and character of the plaintiff, and derived unfair benefit from such the labors of the plaintiff. ...'[The Australian, 20 November 1844, page 3]
