Production notes
Artists comment: Technique: serigraphy (artists' term for use of the silk-screen process). Silk is stretched tightly on a wooden frame and a stencil placed upon the mesh of the screen. I use artists' oil paint (commercial screenprint ink is also available if preferred) on the screen for colour, plus transparent base and utility medium, using a squeegee to take the paint across the screen, printing one colour at a time through the open area of the stencil. Separate stencils are prepared for each colour and printed seperately onto the paper. [Art & Australia, Vol. 19, no. 2. p.151, Summer 1981, p.151.]
