Notes

This is first Without Authority poster. Based on a newsagent's ad for Phantom comics. The oath (parodied from the one at the start of each comic) was superimposed. He has an anarchist symbol instead of a skull on his belt. The skull is now an anti-uranium badge. "As true anarchists, we flaunted copyright and made up the name 'Without Authority' to demonstrate this. Ref: Artist's comments on draft catalogue worksheets, file ref 97/323
