Subject description

View of the French exploration ship 'Astrolabe' moored in Jervis Bay, New South Wales. On the beach a sailor is talking to a two Australian Aboriginal men while another sits close by. Another three sailors can be seen on a distictive rock formation (that no longer exists) on the right.
