The artist notes in a letter on file 77/721. The print was of "Darlinghurst Sydney". He also notes it "is based on my pen drawing of 1928 a view of Darlinghurst, Sydney". "The etching "Horizontal Portrait" was executed in 1929 in London from a Self portrait in pencil done in 1927 dated 13.7.1927
