Notes
Tom Redston needed somebody to teach the art programme as he had other duties. Since I started the program several years ago, I was the obvious choice. I instigated a print project which would tie into Tom's Ending offending art programme through the prison. We did this poster after hours for free to distribute to schools etc. Little did we know what would happen next. The (artist) Juvenile who was sent to Don Dale under the NT's mandatory sentencing laws used this poster as evidence that he was doing something positive to redress his criminal activities and had his sentence reduced as a result. Correctional Services then commissioned the next three posters (RHP 36,37,38) which they then used as an effective 'programmes' advertising campaign - They have been distributed nationally and internationally as a collection to various interest groups, affiliates, schools, judiciary departments, minister etc.
