Production notes
Artists comment: The print, 'Monument at Obiri, Arnhem Land II', is one of a suite of lithographs printed in four colours. A zinc plate for each colour is required, the drawing on each plate being completed after the proceeding plate was proofed. The quality desired was the balkance of surface texture and image that best expressed the subject. This was acheived by a free use of vaious grades of litho-chalk and the application of litho-ink of varying viscosity. The negative images are obtained by drawing with a resist on the sensitive plate and overprinting with succeeding colours. It was printed by the artist on an offset proofing press, in a small edition, on Morandi paper. [Art & Australia, Vol. 19, no. 2. p.151, Summer 1981, p.152]
