Production notes

"The hand made Japanese paper that I am using produces a particular surface texture that I want, a much softer quality than the French papers. The irregularities of surface is a property of this paper... This plus the technical problems of scale and twelve times through the press are the reasons why I do not attempt a large edition'. Grahame King to Ruth Prowse, 30 July 1976, NGA 68/3914, f.21.
