Notes
Letter from the artist file 84/822 pt2 folio 30 "Three birds. These are sort of abstractions of Honeyeaters which are quite prolific here. They are very cheeky birds. I often watch them in the garden." A leaflet which was used at Birrik has a slightly different version file 84/822 pt2 folio 26 "I love to watch the birds outside/ I like the way they strut around as if they own the place." Morgan, Sally The art of Sally Morgan Melbourne, Viking, 1996 Plate 14, Marching birds. The print is dated 1988 in the book, however the NGA print was already in the collection in early 1987.
