Notes

Shaun, David and myself were talking about how 'dirty' the local ALP vs CLP campaign was getting. Very cowboy style politics. So we wanted to lighten things up a bit. We came up with our own election campaign. The idea took about 5 minutes worth of 'think tank'. Shaun came up with the campaign poster idea, I contributed the ELP logo and DAve Molloy designed the Elvis image. We printed 200 up till about 11:00 pm, the night before the local election. As soon as they had dried they were packed into a combi and the fun began. I think the beers and the jazz cigarettes set everybody off. There were posters being plastered all over shop windows, the bypass to town, buses, people's car bonnets and doors, and election booths. We also did a t-shirt run that friends and associates wore on voting day.
