Subject description

John Zarb, a 21 year old postal worker was the first man found guilty (14 October 1969 ) of failing to comply with call up notice for conscription during the Vietnam war. A concientious objector, he only served ten months of a two year jail sentence after an extensive protests from many community organisations.
