This lithographic print is recorded in two forms: the first printed in black ink only, and the second printed in black ink over a cream tint. The imprint of J. Degoardi & Co, is printed very lightly and is not fully readable.
Subject description
View of the interior of the Australian Museum, Sydney, at the time of its first exhibition held in 1855. The exhibition comprised natural and industrial products from across New South Wales that were to be sent for exhibition at the Paris Exposition of 1855. The Sydney preview was opened by Sir Charles Fitzroy on 14 November 1854.
