Biography
'Creative 92 gallery grew out of the Gemini Arts Festival (1969) that was started by Dr Peter Rowland and David Wheatly as part of the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers to add a more cultural aspect. They brought people like Johnny Farnham and Marcia Hines, street theatre, an art competition plus a Crafts exhibition - textiles, ceramics, wood, sculpture etc. The Gemini Festival ran in 1970 - 1971. The Toowoomba Art Society was involved through running the Art competition section'. (Rhyl Dearden 21 July 2018)
