Biography
Exhibitions. The original Crossley Gallery was small. Tate notes it 'could only exhibit 10 prints', it expanded into adjoining shop in 1973 'allowing 20-30 prints' to be exhibited. Invitations were rarely issued, nor catalogues and price lists printed.
In 1992 Adams provided Rosanna Hindmarsh with a numbered (chronological) list of exhibitions held each year from July 1966 to (late) 1972, after which Adams noted that records had been lost. This list mainly accords with that provided by Frances Thompson in her 2023 monograph on Adams. Thompson has also provided dates of newspaper reviews which allows more precise dating of exhibitions.
