Abstract

Shorter explores the play of light that exists in the domestic environment in Tropical North Queensland. The quality of light in the far north is distinguishable, particularly in a ‘Queenslander’ where dappled patterns emerge through louvres or palm fronds. Peripheral aims to give viewers a quiet sense of cultural pride of place in our region. [Gallery media, 2009]
