Abstract

Printmaking in Australia came to spectacular prominence in the 1960s and 1970s and has continued strongly to the present day. This exhibition of over fifty works from the Gallery's permanent collection includes prints by some of Australia's leading artists, such as Adams, Baldessin, Dent, Maddock, Olsen, Lanceley, Brack, Williams and Storrier. Many have not been exhibited before and are recent gifts under the Commonwealth Cultural Gifts Program. The exhibition has been kindly supported by the Stoneman Foundation.[CAG media]
