Abstract

"Place Face Down to Copy is an exhibition that brings together twenty Canberra artists at varying stages of their careers and features a broad range of media
including painting, sculpture, performance, printmedia and drawing.

The exhibition looks at contemporary artists who accept the photocopier as a legitimate tool and/or medium, and employ photocopy technology at some stage during the art-making process.

The works in the exhibition show diversity in the creative outcome; fresh, fun, interesting and experimental.

The exhibition coincides with the 5th Australian Print Symposium being held at the National Gallery of Art between 2 - 4 April.

This exhibition has been coordinated by Erica Seccombe and Alison Munro." [Blurb]
