Abstract

Kulai Pathadin (first cut) is a survey exhibition, collected over two years in support of Dennis while at the Queensland College of Art where he was completing his postgraduate studies. The exhibition also provides a professional enviroment for Dennis's final critiques. Kulai Pathadin heralds a new direction fro Dennis where the figurative nature of his line has been used to convey the abstraction of patterning associated with his cultural designs. An interpreter as much as a storyteller, Nona is an artist who is translating the worlds of the Torres Strait Islands. [invitation blurb]
